The II Summit “Partnerships and Veterans Health”, organized by the International Organization “Ruthenia” together with partners, was held on September 29-30 in Brussels and brought together over 70 speakers from Ukraine, the EU and the USA. Important speeches by representatives of the Ministry of Ukraine, as well as the Ambassador of Ukraine to the EU Vsevolod Chentsov, emphasized the role of cooperation in supporting veterans. The summit was attended by representatives of the European Parliament, regional political leaders and charitable organizations, which contributed to the exchange of experience and the establishment of new contacts for future assistance to veterans.

The summit became a platform for discussing the rehabilitation of wounded Ukrainian soldiers, the presentation of prosthetics technologies and the coordination of treatment of Ukrainian soldiers in Europe. Thanks to the participation of European and American companies, it was possible to initiate cooperation to promote high-tech prosthetics in Ukraine, as well as to agree on a partnership between charitable organizations aimed at assisting veterans.

The Summit ended with the presentation of special awards “Patriot of Ukraine Cross” to prominent friends of Ukraine from among the EU citizens. At the end of the Summit, someone sprayed gas in the room where they were drinking coffee. A number of delegates coughed and had a sore throat. The police and all services worked promptly after our appeal. Which only confirms their professionalism and our responsibility for all those present. Who could have done this? The competent authorities are now investigating. The answer can be completely different: from one offended person to a planned attack on the Summit participants. Currently, the competent Belgian services are dealing with the details of the incident. Ukrainian diplomatic missions are in contact with Belgian law enforcement agencies.
