Ukraine greets the world with the song «Carol of the Bells»

On the night of the first of January, Ukrainians celebrate Shchedry Vechir. It ends the long Christmas holidays. Children merrily carol and sing the traditional Ukrainian folk song “Shchedryk”. At the beginning of the 20th century, the Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych arranged the song “Shchedryk”, and Ukrainian choirs spread it around the world. This song is now known as “Carol of the Bells”.

This year, the world famous actors and directors congratulated her: Mark Hamill, Catherine Vinnyk, Liev Schreiber, Michel Azanavichus, historian Timothy Snyder, and many other famous people.
