Ukrainian children caroled in Brussels

All Ukrainian children deserve Christmas celebrations and presents. And especially those who have been away from Ukraine for the second winter, in particular in Belgium. Therefore, the International Charity Organization “Ruthenia” and the Ukrainian Foundation “Healthy Childhood Without Borders” held a Christmas party in Brussels itself. The children’s event was hosted by the Ukrainian Civil Society Hub at the European Parliament.

The party was thematic – the fact is that the “Healthy Childhood Without Borders” Foundation presented two projects to the children: The first is a poetic constitution for children – so that our young citizens properly take care of their rights and defend the state’s status. And another important project of this foundation is a children’s illustrated book about mines and mine clearance. Because our country’s territory is very dangerous. And children are often the victims of explosive devices.

But the main idea of the party is communication between children from Ukraine and Belgium. Letters became a symbol of unity on the holiday. Girls from the Foundation “Healthy Childhood without Borders” acted as postmen. They brought a few bags of children’s letters from Ukraine. As many postcards from children from Belgium will be brought back.

Therefore, the greatest value of the event was really in communication: the children who gathered in Brussels had the opportunity to communicate with their peers from Donetsk region, Soledar and Severodonetsk through the telebridge. Gratitude knew no bounds.
